MId-CITY MASTER
One of my favorite clients (ahem, people) ever. We worked together on his previous home, so the rapport and delight was well established by the time this project began.
To my pleasant surprise, he mentioned wanting a more moody vibe for this space. I dug into it a bit and uncovered that some of his recent travels abroad surfaced a new appreciation for deeper color palettes, unexpected pairings, and layers.
“Nothing Light”, he said.
What I heard was “sophisticated” and “sensual”.
I immediately conjured 19th century ottoman influences of saturated jewel tones, layered patterns, and scents of amber… oh my
The concept
a sophisticated curation of bold jewel tones that saturate the Master bedroom, evoking feelings of mystery and sultry desires. The primary color is a deep teal, which, will be applied to all wall surfaces and serve as the backdrop to the additional jewel tones throughout the room.

The genesis of this transformation lay in a single fabric swatch, a relic of past encounters carefully preserved, awaiting its destined moment to shine. And shine it did, becoming the cornerstone upon which layers of sumptuous textures and hues were artfully intertwined, each element a stroke in a portrait of elegance and sophistication.
